‘Ceramics can be so frustrating at times. When this sculpture emerged from the kiln, along with several others, I was delighted with the colours and the lovely shiny earthenware glaze, unusually it exactly matched what I had hoped it would be! Sadly on closer inspection that lovely glaze had also bubbled in one or two places (in this one , on one of the ’hearts’. I still love this piece, its a real gem, even with bubbles!’
