Jeremy draws the design for a small, modelled hare. This small ink drawing then acts as a guide to the making of a ‘maquette’ sized hare, in stoneware clay. The ‘hare’ is modelled solid with just the sculptors hands and a few wooden tools. Jeremy frequently make maquette prior to sculpting larger versions of a piece.
