'Cat and Cage' black and white- Lino Print
I’m always interested in my sculptures and prints, in how putting two subjects together creates a story. Often, it is not a story I have created, but one which I want to know.
A cat suns itself in an overgrown garden. A bird cage hangs above this creature, but its door is open and the bird is out. I the cat asleep? Has the bird escaped, or is it looking to the cage as refuge from the cat?
I like this ambiguity, this range of possibilities…this story from nowhere.

These prints are individually handprinted by Jeremy James, they are printed on heavy, acid free 'Somerset' or 'Fabriano' printing paper. They are supplied securely, rolled or flat packed. it is possible that colours will vary slightly from those illustrated.
