‘Crossbills was made after a visit to Scotland looking for these strange birds…I never found them! …but I still wanted to make a sculpture of these unique birds. This piece has been exhibited twice, but never found a home. Since then it has occupied a shelf in my studio and truly has become one of the ‘Works that Stayed’. It is with reluctance that I’d let this one go…but its time to let someone else enjoy it…and I need space!!’
