‘Cold northern climates, snowy landscapes, birds of prey……..all subjects of continued fascination to me and ones all encapsulated in this sculpture. Unusually the ‘birds’ are made in porcelain (not a clay I work with very much), whilst the ‘land’ is made in stoneware clay and decorated with white slips and pigments. Perhaps a sculpture for ceramic aficionados who enjoy unusual works outside of the usual.’
